Sophia is a ten year old fifth grader. She has been playing piano since she was four. Her current teacher is Mr. Bill Lutes and her previous teacher was Mrs. Linda Bramlett. Sophia won the First Prize in the global online Great Composers Competition series, Best Mozart Performance, in age group II in 2017. She also won the first place in the Sonatina Festival, Verona, Wisconsin, in 2015 in the 8 year old group, and received an honorable mention (second place) at the state level of the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs (WFMC) piano solo competition in 2015. Besides piano, Sophia plays violin. She loves music, and has participated in many musical activities including school talent shows and recitals. Besides music, she enjoys swimming, ice skating, soccer and tennis, and is an avid reader.
