Gracelynne Hao


Gracelynne Hao, turning 10 on August 31, 2016, is a rising fifth grader in the New Jersey Bridgewater Academic Independent program, also known as the AI. She started piano lessons with Professor Ingrid Clarfield in June 2013 though Gracelynne placed her fingers on the piano at four and half years old. Since then, she won first place in the International Crescendo Competition and did two honor recitals from NJ-MEA when she was 6, Young Virtuoso at IMPACT Young Artist, Honorable Mention at NJMTA Young Musicians when she was 7, 3rd place at NJMTA Young Musicians, and Young Virtuoso at IMPACT Young Artist when she was 8. When she turned 9 last year, she won 2nd place at NJMTA Young Musician, the 3 time award for Grand Prix in Music Fest and High Honors in the NJMTA Spring Recital Auditions, was a winner at the Cecilian Music Club Young Artist Competition, and has received honorable mention in the International Chopin Competition and the Piano Teachers Congress competition. When she turned 10 in 2016 and won 2nd place at NJMTA Young Musician Competition. Gracelynne has also gotten honorable mentions in both piano and voice at 2015 American Youth Talent and Art Contests hosted by Sino-vision in New York. Besides piano, she has been a hostess for the Chinese School Graduation Ceremony and has won 2nd place in HuaXia Regional Schools Debate Team Competition in 2016.
