I am Elizabeth Li, a student at Diamond Bar High School. I am extremely passionate about making music through my French horn. I have cultivated this talent, if you will, with the extensive help of my long term private teacher, Annie Bosler, my extraordinary band director, Steve Acciani, and my supportive parents. With their help and my hard work, I was able to perform in many amazing concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center as well as record in prestigious studios such as the Walker recording studio. I have also been fortunate enough to play a variety of advanced music such as Tchaikovsky 4, 5, and 6. These experiences greatly impacted my level of playing as well as the work ethics I have developed. I knew that if I worked hard enough, I would be able to achieve anything.
I auditioned for a multitude of music groups including SCSBOA and CBDA after I practiced the music through and through. The result was the opportunity to travel the world with these outstanding music groups such as the Colburn Youth Symphony in Europe and the Diamond Bar Symphony Orchestra in New York and San Francisco. Among the various group accomplishments I have participated in, I also have a few personal successes. I recently placed second in The Best Mozart Competition featuring a variety of instruments, not strictly horn. I have performed in the Colburn Friday Night Recitals and was asked to play in the School Recital.
