Amanda Dame
Amanda Dame, 22, is a native of Altamont, NY. She has recently graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory, where she received a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology as a part of the college’s double-degree program. A versatile performer, Amanda has been named winner of several soloist competitions, including the 2014 Central Ohio Flute Association Young Artist Competition, the 2013 Rochester Flute Association Emerging Artist Competition, the 2012 Donald E. Webster Scholarship Competition and the 2012 Stefan Scholarship Competition. Last year, Amanda was invited to participate in the Third International Maxence Larrieu Flute Competition, taking place in Nice, France. She also has a love for chamber music, and performs regularly in a flute, cello and piano trio in the Oberlin area.
Amanda is also an avid orchestral musician, and is currently a substitute flutist with the Canton and Firelands Symphonies.
