The name Trio Kaukokaipuu defines three catalans who decided to improve their skills in Finland. In this path the trio is united by friendship, our roots and our ambition as a musicians.
The trio, founded in 2014 in Sibelius Academy has been working with the cellist Marko Ylönen and recently with Asko Heiskanen. Also in masterclasses with Wolfgang Kloss (Music University of Viena) and Björn Nyman (Norwegian Academy of Music).
Last September the Tio Kaukokaipuu won the 2nd prize in the 12th chamber music competition "Montserrat Alavedra" in Terrassa, Barcelona.
