Victor Manuel Hernandez Ramirez
Winner of the 2011 Concurso de Instrumentos de Viento Madera y Metal ICA, the 2015 Mid-South Flute Society Masterclass Competition, the 2015 Georgia state MTNA Young Artist Competition, alternate winner of the 2016 MTNA Southern Division Young Artist Competition, and finalist in the 2015 Atlanta Music Club Competition, flutist Victor Hernandez has performed as a member of the Juan Pablo Duarte Orchestra of the National Conservatory of Music (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), as principal flutist of the Alfredo de Saint Malo Orchestra Festival (Panama), National Youth Orchestra (Dominican Republic), Young Philharmonic Dominican Republic, and in the Orchestra of the National Conservatory of Music of Dominican Republic, where he was a student. He has performed under the baton of Benjamin Zander, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Arturo Marquez, Carlos Riazuelo, and Rafael Payare. Victor is a student of Andrée Martin at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University. He has performed in masterclasses for Carol Wincenc, Denis Bouriakov, Jasmine Choi, Tara O’Connor, Jean-Louis Beaumadier, Mathew Krejci, Nestor Torres, Domenico Alfano, and Leonne Buyse. In addition to this, Victor has participated in the 2016 Marina Piccinini International Flute Masterclass at the Peabody Conservatory, the 2016 Jeffrey Khaner Master Class at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, and the 2016 Jim Walker’s Beyond the Masterclass at the Colburn School.
