Theresa Lee, 16, is a junior at Monta Vista High School. She began playing cello at the age of 10 and currently studies with Jihee Kim. Theresa won grande prize from Silicon Valley Music Competition in 2016, and 1st prize at KAMSA music competition in 2015 and Korea Times Music competition in 2013, and 2nd price from USOMC(United States Open Music Competition) and USIMC(United States International Music Competition) in 2015. And she soloed with the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra with the Schumann Cello Concerto in 2015 as a winner of their annual concerto competition. Theresa has been a cellist at Young Chamber Musicians since 2015. Past summer, Theresa attended the Meadowmount School of Music in New York, where she studied with Northwestern University professor Hans Jorgen Jensen.
