I was born and raised in Riga, Latvia and started my path in music at the Bolderaja Music and art school under Gabriela Parasa. My greatest inspiration at the time was Gidon Kremer. I graduated Emils Darzins music middle school and had the chance to study with prof. Andris Baumanis and later Romans Sne. For the next two years I studied in the Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music under prof. Juris Svolkovskis, before getting the opportunity to transfer to The Boston Conservatory and there I currently continue my studies under Markus Placci. Recently my chamber group obtained the title of Honors quartet at the Boston Conservatory. I've performed in masterclasses under Jacqueline Ross (Great Britain), Saulius Sondeckis (Lithuania), Vadim Gluzman, Gunars Larsens (Latvia), Lynn Chang (USA) and Thomas Landschoot (Belgium).
