Nikolay Dimitrov
Nikolay Dimitrov was born August 31, 2001, in Ruse, Bulgaria. He took piano lessons from the age of 6 years. In 2008, after passing an examination it is accepted as a first-year student at the National School of Arts in Ruse where he studied until now. He plays classical music and jazz.
Until Nikolay Dimitrov had the exclusive opportunity to play twice in one night on the stage of "Carnegie Hall" in New York - solo and duo, as a winner of the International Piano Competition ""American protege"". In March 2016, he performed again at “Carnegie Hall” in New York as the winner of the first prize in the International Music Talent Competition “American Protege” where performed with jazz improvisations. Previously, in 2015, he made his debut at the International Jazz Festival in Bansko with the great pianist Shelly Berg.
Nikolay Dimitrov had an appearance in the most famous halls - "Royal Albert Hall"-London, "Musikverein"-Vienna, “Opera Bastille” -Paris as the winner of f at the International Piano Competition ""Grand Prize Virtuoso”.
The pianist received the annual award from the Rotary Club-Ruse, and is a member of the Club of gifted children of the foundation "Dimitar Berbatov".
In 2014, 2015 and 2016 he played as soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Ruse - individually and duo.
Nikolay has won awards from international competitions in Bulgaria, Romania, France, Greece, Germany, UK and USA.
