Michelle Qiu, 14, has been studying piano with Dr. Anna Ouspenskaya since January 2010. Since the age of 5, Michelle has been winning top prizes at various piano competitions such as American Fine Arts Festival, Malek Jandali International Piano Competition, Knabe Youth Piano Concerrto Competition, Philadelphia International Music Festival concerto and piano competitions, Crescendo International Competition and Beliner International Music Competition etc. Michelle made her solo performance debut at the Carnegie Hall when she’s 9, and she has been performing at Carnegie Hall almost every year since then. Other than piano, Michelle also plays percussion and she is a member of her school's marching band.
