Josie Cox
Josie Cox is a rising sophomore at the University of South Carolina where she studies Music Education and is receiving her performance certificate under flute professor Jennifer Parker-Harley. Josie has lived in South Carolina all of her life and attended Carolina Forest High School where she participated in the marching band and wind ensemble and studied with flute teacher Amy Tully. She was consistently placed in local and regional honor bands throughout her years in high school. Josie also played in the Long Bay Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Dr. Charles Evans during her junior and senior years. In the past year since becoming a student at USC, Josie has joined the Carolina Marching Band as a piccolo player and participates actively in the university's Flute Studio. Josie will be continuing her flute studies at the Wildacres Flute Retreat in North Carolina this summer where she will be playing in a masterclass for Göran Marcusson.
