Jianna Kim


Jianna Kim is a fifth-grade student at Germantown Academy, PA. She picked up the flute at age 7 under Michael Maizels. She won Second Prize in the International Great Composers’ Woodwinds and Brass Competition, Second Prize in the International Great Composers’ Competition for the Art of Chamber Music in 2016 and Third Prize in the International Great Composers’ Competition for The Music Mediterranean Europe in 2017. Jianna performed in a special Solo Concert for Autistic Children at the Yuong-Sang Presbyterian Church in 2016. Jianna performed at Rowan University in 2017 and 2018. She attended The Curtis Summerfest at The Curtis School of Music in 2017. Jianna was one of the youngest attendees of the festival. She participated in the recital and she was chosen to play for celebrated Flutist, Mimi Stillman. Jianna will have three performances at Carnegie Hall in May, 2018 as a winner of American Protégé International Concerto Competition, American Protégé International Music Talent Competition and International Grand Music Competition. Jianna plays on Yamaha 777.
