Erica Ho


10 year old Erica Ho was born in Perth, Australia. She is currently studying in Year 5 in Nedlands Primary School. She has been learning piano lessons from Yoon Sen Lee since she was 7. She is current learning at Grade 8 level under the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB).

Erica has attended several international and local piano competitions. She has achieved the 1st Prize in Salzburg International Music Competition and was invited to perform in Wiener Saal Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria on 13th July 2016.

She has also recently achieved the 1st Prize in Fremantle Eisteddfod for AMEB Grade 8 & 1st Prize in Piano Solo Under age 11. Erica is the winner of 2016 AMEB Perpetual Trophy as having the highest mark in the AMEB competition.

In 2016, Erica won the First Prize for the “Great Composers Competition” in UK. She has also achieved the 2nd prize in London International Music Competition that was held in London. She then received a “Honorable mention with good results” in Berlin International Music Competition. At the end of May, she has achieved several prizes & awards (including 2 first prizes & the Best Overall Score for the Popular Modern Piano Solo section) in attending the 2016 Joondalup Eisteddfod.

Erica won two of the First Prizes (both Solo & Duo piano) for the 2016 Golden Classical Music Awards and she is invited to perform her winning pieces in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, New York on 6th November 2016.

Erica also plays cello in the Nedlands Primary Orchestra, accompanies to the school choir and plays keyboard and vibraphone in the school concert band. Erica is also a Primary Extension and Challenge (PEAC) student. Erica wants to be a great composer and a music teacher when she grows up.
