Clara Yang
Clara Yang is a high school sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High School. Clara plays the piano, violin, and flute. Starting from age 10, she has played the flute in numerous bands, choirs, concerts, chamber music ensembles, orchestras, musicals, symphonies, and competitions. Currently Clara is the principal flutist playing flute and piccolo at California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in San Jose, California.
For years, Clara has received multiple awards for piano and flute competitions from United States Open Music Competitions and Classical Masters Competition. She played in the California All State Symphonic Band and attended multiple masters classes. In 2016 alone, Clara was awarded with the first place flutist winner by American Fine Art Festival Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition. She was awarded by The National Flute Association high school solo competition as an alternate. Furthermore, Clara won the Junior Bach competition and was invited to perform in the Junior Bach Festival winner concert at San Francisco.
