Alison Addie
Alison Addie is a sophomore at DuPont Manual High and the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, Kentucky studying under Donald Gottlieb. This past year, she was the principal flute of the Louisville Youth Orchestra’s Symphony and the Kentucky All-State Symphony Orchestra, and she was second flute of the Honor Orchestra of America. In addition, she received first prize at the Flute Society of Kentucky’s High School Soloist Competition and performed in masterclasses with Nina Assimakopoulos and Sarah Frisof. In 2015, Alison attended the Sewanee Summer Music Festival where she studied in Patricia George’s flute studio, and she participated in the Ohio State University's Flute Workshop led by Katherine Borst Jones. A frequent visitor to Cleveland, Ohio, Alison also receives occasional lessons from Mary Kay Robinson.
