| Tyler
has been studying piano for seven years.
He studies with Dr. Hedi Salanki-Rubardt at the University of West
Florida. In March of this year he won
1st Place at the PMTA Sonata Contest and 1st Place at the Music Study Club
Competition in Northwest Florida. Last
summer he was a finalist at the Lancaster International Piano Festival
Competition. In 2013 & 2014 Tyler
was accepted into the Colburn Academy Piano Festival in Los Angeles, CA where
he studied with Ory Shihor. At age 11
Tyler performed with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra during the “Stars
of Tomorrow” concert. He traveled to
Austria in 2010 & 2011 to study piano at, “Austrian Master Classes” in
Zell an der Pram. Tyler also enjoys playing the organ and has studied violin. He frequently plays piano, organ and sings in the choir at St. Paul Catholic Church in Pensacola, Florida. This summer Tyler excited to be returning to the Piano Festival at the Colburn Academy. His other interests include studying foreign languages & traveling. |
