Minwu Hu
Minwu Hu was born in 2005 in a musical family. She commenced flute lessons at the age of seven with her day, Mr Qing Hu. After two years of flute studying, Minwu participated in the music competition for woodwind and brass, where she won the first prize in the fourteen years and under group. In 2016, after winning the 1st prize in the international competition, she performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, in New York. Last year in August, Minwu was awarded one of the few full scholarship holders to attend the renowned flautist, Prof. William Bennett's (OBE, Hon RAM) International flute summer school in London. Also she is one of the three flautists in the Percy Grainger Youth Orchestra (MYM).
