Lorelai Lee Swanek began her piano studies at age 4. In 2017, she won the Judge's Discretionary Award, given for an extraordinary performance of exceptional literature at the NEPMTA Carnegie Auditions. This year she also won 2nd prize at the Schubert Club Awards Competition in the French music category, 3rd prize at the JUMY Competition and 2nd prize at the 38th Annual Audrey Thayer Competition. In addition, she earned the highest rating at both the Young Musicians' Festival, sponsored by the Schubert Club and the Western Chapter of the CT State Music Teachers' Association, Spring Festival.
