Jonathan started learning piano at the age of 4. Currently, he is taught by Ms Christine Gan. Jonathan was chosen as a First Place Winner of the American Protégé Music Talent International Competition 2013 and performed in the Winners’ Recital, in Carnegie Hall. In year 2012, he was awarded gold in the 4th Singapore Performers’ Festival. Jonathan also plays the violin. In 2015, he won the 2nd prize in Kadenza Competition organised by Edvox Music School (Senior Category). In the same year, he was involved in the Edvox Music School orchestra and performed with the orchestra in the Singapore Conference Hall. He has performed in various concerts held in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, Singapore Conference Hall, Jubilee Hall Raffles Hotel and The Arts House both as a pianist and a violinist. Jonathan is also part of the Saint Joseph Institute Vocal Ensemble. He was involved in the 2015 Singapore Youth Festival with the Vocal Ensemble and won a Gold Award.
