Erika Jane Dalton



Erika Jane Dalton (16) is a Carnegie Hall soloist, has been playing violin for twelve years, and currently studies under Miss De Ann Letourneau. She has won numerous violin competitions including first place in the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music, second prize in the ENKOR International Music Competition, and has also won the Las Vegas Philharmonic Young Artists’ Concerto Competition, the Nevada Chamber Symphony String Competition, the Utah Valley Young Artists Competition and the Oquirrh Mountain Symphony Concerto Competition. She has performed in concerts and festivals in Japan, Canada, New York, Chicago, California, Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and Utah, and has also participated in master-classes with James Ehnes, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Albert Igolnikov, Martin Chalifour, Alexander Treger, Sergiu Schwartz, Itamar Zorman and Frederic Moreau. Erika has soloed with the Las Vegas Philharmonic, the Utah Valley Symphony and the Oquirrh Mountain Symphony. She was a recipient of the Emerson Scholarship for the Interlochen Arts Camp Advanced String Quartet Program where she received the prestigious Maddy Summer Artist Award. Erika also attended the Red Rocks Winter Chamber Music Institute as a member of the Vegas Quartet, first prize winner of the ON STAGE International Chamber Music Competition.
