Abigail Yoon, age 10, a student of Elizabeth Faidley in Bergen County, NJ, is maturing due to experiences in competitions and performances. She placed, age group, at the 2010 Crescendo International Competition, received 1st place at the 2011 Prima Artists Competition, 2nd place at the 16th New York Music Competition, a Silver Medal at the 2013 Young Maestro’s Competition, winner of the “Le Petit Orchestre” Children’s Concerto Competition, Grand Prize winner of the 2014 Union City Young Artist’s Competition, Grand winner at the 2014 National Young Artists Concerto Competition for Piano and Strings, a First Prize winner at the 1st Edition East Coast International Competition and was recently selected to perform in the Dr. Paul and Aranka Kaplan Honors Recital, 2015, as part of a Piano Trio. She has had the privilege and opportunity to perform in Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Union City Museum, Walter Bruno Hall at Lincoln Center, the Union City Performing Arts Center, World Youth Alliance, the National Arts Club in New York City, Merkin Hall, Saint Peter’s Parish, and the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, and fundraisers, for example, the KidSpirit Magazine Award Ceremony. Additionally, she has performed in Masterclasses for Rebecca Henry, soloist Annaliesa Place, concert violinist Tao-Chang Yu, concert violinist Ray Chen (2014, 2015), and Almita Vamos.
Abi enjoys singing, art, soccer and spending time with family.
